The Hipster's Handbook vol.8
The only bi-annual style guide that you should treat as required reading, the Hipster's Handbook, has returned once again. It's the first HH of 2011, and- if we don't say so ourselves- it's pretty fantastic. As well as the usual Front Of Book articles, keeping you up to date with the scarily mile a minute pace of the world of fashion, we give you some insights from Luke Worral and Sophie Willing into the curious world of being a supermodel, the East London second hand chic of House fo Liza, and more gorgeous shoots than you can shake a stick at.
Fantasy is the name of the game for this shoot style by the delightful Alexis Knox, with photography by James Moriarty. We make Lord of the Rings chic sexy, while talking to Luke and Sophie about their experiences i nthe world of modelling.
Maria Zazovksky interviews East London's man of the hour, Goncalo Velos, about the understated luxury and retro splendour of the clothes at his House of Liza store. Alexis Knox styles an accompanying shoot, putting a selection of Velosa's garments to good use.
Aaron Francis Walker gives his views on the next fashion sensation form Japam, 'cosplay' or 'kosupure'.
Aaron onces again puts his fingers to the keyboard, this time explaining what's so great about the latest shoe and jewellry collections from everyone from Dominic Jones to Fleet Ilya, in a particularly visually arresting shoot. Photography by Jarek Kotomski.
In an attempt to keep your eyes on the prize that is summer for the next month or two, Natalie Hubbard styles a shoot which is all sunglasses, bright colours and light fabrics. Even if the sun hasn't got his hat on outside, it's always good enough weather for the Hipster's Handbook.
